The pricing of paintings

Tobias Zeller is setting his prices based on the basic costs of the painting plus an individual "emotional" fee per item.

The basic cost is calculated by how much it costs him to produce a painting. They are items such as materials (canvas, colours and accessories), time (effective time for the painting) and infrastructure (website hosting and studio costs).

The emotional cost is not fixed. It should be understood as supporting the artistic endeavour. This additional cost should be seen as a assessment of creativity; or your own valuation of the worth that an original Zeller would add to your life.

You are encouraged to view the emotional cost as a proportion of your income rather than a fixed amount. It is important that these paintings go to people who like them.
